I have found out personally that the redline on a Grand Marquis is in the 5 grand range. No they do not have tachs

That is low. I drive a diesel that redlines around there.

If there's no tach, how do you know? :p
What does it sound like up there? I'm sure you could get a nice exhaust for it :)

Hmm! I guess that depends on the year. Definitely lower than my Crown Vic.

Cars without tachs.....It's like cars without passenger side mirrors. We grew up with them (I learned to drive a stick without a tach or mirror), but now it would be really weird to drive one without them...

Connecting an OBD scantool and seeing it that way?

5 grand range... Is that dollars or RPM? I could see it going either way.

The marquis is detuned for luxury... I whipped my grandparents '03 to both of my proms and that boat has a nice comfortable roll to it. Ohh and turning the traction control off does nothing as far as trying to spin tires from a stop.

5k in the cookie jar everytime you redline it!

This one doesn't even have the traction control option! Burnouts.
